the Astro Dome and Reliant Park next to it

the convention center, where I graduated

Minute Maid Park

this is where I went to animation school...The Art Institute of Houston

Williams Tower from the top of the Art Institute parking lot

the Galleria.....the most affordable store in town!

Williams Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the south

Williams Tower, used to be the Transco Tower

Right next to the Williams Tower is the Water Wall. It's a nice tourist spot. I've also seen it used for a wedding, pretty tall too.

Fu's Garden - my favorite restaurant in town. Before I moved, I would eat here about twice a week. Located around the Richmond / 610 intersection.

Mama's Cafe; another great restaurant....ate here often! at the Westheimer / Greenridge intersection

Denis....best seafood in town; around the Westheimer / Kirkwood intersection

The Alamo Drafthouse Theater- eat dinner while watching the movie, aka: heaven! They also serve alcohol, which can be a problem. This is also the main headquarters of Harry Knowles, founder of the infamous movie web site Ain't It Cool News. So far, they are only in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. They play normal movies, but they also play things like Troma movies, cult films, spaghetti westerns, and other oddities.

Ferris Bueller and Fahrenheit 911, now there's a great combo! The River Oaks Theater (a Landmark theater) plays independent, foreign, and art flicks. They also have midnight movies every Saturday and Sunday. Some of the films they have played: Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, The Big Lebowski, Blue Velvet, The Princess Bride, Dr. Strangelove, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and other wonderful films.
