Hurricane Ridge, Olympic National Park

Hurrican Ridge is an area at about 5,200 feet, within the Olympic Mountains. The location's altitude and vantage point allows for superb views of the mountains to the north and south.

This determined older gentleman couldn't get 20 feet without falling! He kept getting up though, bent on making it to the bottom.

Glacier Lilly. This is one of the first wildflowers to appear after the snow melts. The bulbs were once a source of food for Native American tribes, but don't be so quick to pop one in your mouth. They may cause a burning sensation.

Hurricane Ridge Lodge. This building contains gift shops, a small resteraunt, and outoor seating on a second story porch, with views of the Olympic Mountains.
