We drove across southern Ontario from Sarnia, through London, Woodstock, and Paris, to Niagara Falls on the Queen Elizabeth Expressway (QEW). I'd like to think that I had some idea, but really, I had NO idea how big Niagara Falls was. And what was immediately impressive was the size of the mist cloud created by the falls. In this photo you can see the mist peaking over the top of the falls. Typically, the cloud was much higher than this, sometimes twice as tall as the falls, and wherever you stand in the park you get sprinkled. (This creates a catch-22 where you are in an amazing natural setting, yet you can't take photos because the air is saturated with water-mist. I, and many other tourists, braved the mist and took photos anyway.) By the way, if you get a chance to visit Niagara Falls, visit the Canadian side. It is clearly the side to be on.

I don't know why in the world anyone would want to drop a dime into one of
these telescope machine things. Everything you need to see is RIGHT THERE!!

This section of the falls is called Horeshoe Falls.
Half of it is in Canada and the other half is in the US.

This is a view of the Horeshoe Falls from the Maid of the Mist boat tour. The mist
cloud makes it nearly impossible to see the entire waterfall at once from any angle.

Here we see the Rainbow Bridge which crosses from Canada to the US. Just before the bridge is
another section of the American falls (and if you look at the bottom of the photo - a REAL rainbow!)

The Maid of the Mist boat tour... Angela and I totally enjoyed this tour.
It wasn't very expensive at about $9.00 a head. You even get a rain coat!
(and it comes in handy when the boat is under the deluge of Niagara Falls)

Golf, Movieland Wax Museum, a haunted house, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Guinness Book
of World Records, a Fun House, a Mystery Maze, Marvel Super Heroes Adventure City,
an Imax Theater, and Canada's only indoor skydiving facility. But that's all folks.
Time was of the essence and we had to hit the road.
