Friday March 18th, 2005: My Greyhound bus reached the Houston terminal at about 7:00 AM - A 12 hour trip from New Orleans! I called my brother on a payphone, and we decided to meet at the McDonalds across the street because it was the easiest place to park and load up his car with my baggage. Parker and his friend Jeremy Gooch arrived about an hour later, we loaded the car, and hit the road - our great Southwest USA road trip was underway. We spent most of the day traversing Texas, and by dusk we had arrived in Van Horne, TX – just a sixty-five mile ride to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park visitor’s center.

Note: The photos within were contributed by all three travelers.
