UNO Campus
New Orleans, Louisiana (December 2000)
The University of New orleans campus was once an Air Force base. This smoke stack in the Northeast corner of campus is all that is left from that base.
And now I focus on the buildings at the base of the smokestack...
Let's see what we might find inside these buildings. Oh look, someone has already broken through the heavily boarded doors. Neat.
The Liberal Arts building is strange in that the classrooms are numbered like a ship. I don't know exactly what that means, but I do know that Freshmen are always lost.
This is the Performing Arts Center (PAC), home to all music and film students.
I speant most of my time here.
Typical university-style altamatum...
On the left you see the dorms, not UNO's pride and joy. All the way to the right you may notice the large white engineering building. I never went in there, not once. Right in the middle is the Training, Resource, and Technology Center (TRAC) where I speant one year as resident assistant to several visually or mentally challenged persons.
At the tail-end of each semester, the "CA$H for BOOKS" tents would pop up all around campus. Typically, I would turn in a $55 book and get a $5 bill, so I just stopped selling my books.
