Samuel Litman is originally from Atlantic City, New Jersey. He left the Jersey Shore for the even brighter lights of Las Vegas in 1992, and then found love in Spring Creek, Nevada in 2001. He lives with his wife Doris in what he calls the “mobile home section” of Spring Creek. This is Sam Litman’s slice of America

“These pictures were taken in Spring Creek in December of ’03 through February of ’04. We were hit by a few big snowstorms and the result was 3 feet of snow.”

“The mountains in the back are called the Ruby Mountains. They surround all of Spring Creek”

“Spring Creek has two sections, one called the mobile home section and another called the regular housing section. We live in the mobile home section.”

“Spring Creek has a nice-sized grocery store called Khoury’s, a convenience store, a few restaurants (most notably one called The Scoreboard which has a casino and a bar). We also have a Domino’s Pizza and a Mexican restaurant.”

“The elevations here range from 5,500 feet (where we live), to as high as 11,000 feet at the highest mountain peaks – which are sometimes covered with snow all year round.”
