Slices of America has been around since 2000. The whole idea is pretty simple — go somewhere, pay attention, take pictures, write it down. That’s it. Some of the best stuff on this site came from people who just sent an email.
We’re not looking for anything fancy. You don’t need to be a professional photographer or a writer. You just need to have actually been there and have something real to say about it.
A few things that help:
- At least 5 or 10 photos you took yourself
- A real location — anywhere in America
- Something to say beyond “it was beautiful”
