New York City trip Part 5 of 10: Coney

The morning of Friday, August 28th 2015 was to be our day for Coney Island. After a surprisingly short subway ride, we arrived at our destination at about 8:00 AM. At first it seemed a bit foolish to go when it would be so deserted and with none of the amusement park rides going. But it turned out to be a pretty good turn of events…. It was in fact pretty desolate with just a handful of folks jogging and hanging out at the shore. But after all the hustle bustle of the city life, this was ideal! Along with the beautiful weather and blue skies, this was a great way to take in this fun little spot. Waited until Nathan’s (the original) was open so that we could pick up a hot dog and fries before heading out. I don’t count myself as a hot dog fan, but wow!
